When I went back to North Carolina to care for my terminally ill stepfather, I often dug around in the garden trying to make sense of my very interesting life. If you're from the South, you know that means I have been more than a little quirky. And it won't surprise you to know that I've been called crazy, either! What was so interesting about these early morning tear-stained digs was that I kept finding marble. Yes, marbles. Stuck in the dirt where I'd dropped them about half a century back. How did I lose them? What was the impact? And what has it taken to find a few more of them and get them all back in the bag? These are inspirational and motivational questions I answer in this presentation which can be a keynote, half-day presentation, or breakout for survivors of trauma and mental health systems.
