Now more than ever, time is the new currency, but self-care is not where to save time. To obtain both personal and organizational health, we need to learn how to make self-care the foundation for how we perform, not just at home, but at work, on the go, and in every part of our lives. HOW DO WE CREATE CHANGE? We change by exploring WHY we eat rather than focusing on WHAT to eat! That way we can thrive rather than just survive, because nourishment is so much more than just nutrition. The Path for Life Method, developed by Jeanette Bronée, integrates the 3 key essential ingredients to create sustainable change in the way we eat, perform and thrive every day: Food-Knowledge, Mindfulness, and Habit-shifting. Food-knowledge is the most powerful way to empower the individual to make better food choices. It is a shift from information to wisdom, by educating how food is a tool for well-being and performance, not just another diet. Mindfulness is the bridge that connects food-knowledge with practical action. When we learn to integrate mindfulness into our food choices, with how food makes us feel, soon, eating becomes a body-felt experience. We learn the WHY of what we eat, rather than getting stuck in WHAT to eat. Habit-shifting is how we change from being stuck to processing change. When we set goals, we create intent, but change only happens when we support the process of change. Habits help us move forward by tying together our desire to take action and our human needs for connection, community and commitment. Jeanette shows us how we can learn to listen to our bodies and become empowered to take charge of our self-care habits, master daily stress AND thrive while we are busy.
