My entire 27-year career in design has been an essential, ongoing lesson in Persistence, Passion and Playfulness. These three tenets are what I share in this presentation. Persistence allowed me to build my first game company from nothing, selling our first product from the trunk of my car. I demoed the product thousands of times, literally hand-selling it before breaking onto the shelves of Target and Walmart. Persistence is what got my product featured for over 4 minutes on Good Morning America and written up in the New York Times. And eventually, persistence allowed me to sell my company for a hefty sum. Passion allowed me to convincingly tell our story to the media, who shared our story with the world. Every great story has passion at its center and every great brand leader knows this. And finally, playfulness has given me the powerful opportunity to connect with others, and its this connection that can set people and businesses apart. The playfulness that is essential to the toy industry has afforded me the ability to be successful in publishing and independent filmmaking. By sharing real-world examples of how these tenets of an "Entreplayneur" have helped me and others succeed, it is my hope that i can inspire your audience to greater success.
