I believe most of you would agree, image can make or break you. The picture you present in the eyes of your prospective customers has a great deal to do with your success. Both your product and you make up the picture. Here are ten items that help bring a stronger image to any organization and to the people that work for it. 1. Dress right for the job. Sloppy looks lose. First impressions last. 2. Master language. Use good grammar. It does impress. 3. Be an outstanding listener. You just may pick up a sale you would otherwise lose. 4. Keep your work space organized and neat. Disorganization displays inefficiency and does contribute to being less productive. 5. Always be well mannered. In the end, polite wins and rudeness loses. 6. Respect every potential client and those who have already bought. 7. Be trustworthy and credible. Lacking both is a deal killer. 8. Have a great, user friendly website presence that sells both product and organization. 9. A toll free number might be the enticement to get someone to call you. 10. Promote yourself well by: (a) Keeping your word (b) Always having a business card (c) Letting everyone you know what you do (d) Staying in touch after the sale. Send articles, congratulatory letters, etc. (e) Referring business to clients whenever possible Being the consummate professional takes a high level of awareness and a deep commitment to constantly improve. Are you ready for the challenge?
