Employee stress costs organizations $200-$300 billion a year in the American workplace. This presentation begins by looking at the symptoms of stress and a brief look at some amazing statistics on what’s happening in the American workplace.
With that as a base we will explore the three types of stress and the role they play on workplace behaviors. We will look at positive and negative stress and how to identify the “trigger thoughts” that lead to negative stress. We will further define what are Time Stress, Anticipatory Stress, Situational Stress and Encounter Stress and how to use specific strategies to successfully deal with them. Within that context we will look at triggers that incite those stressors.
The session will end with an emphasis on balance and how to apply some specific long-range solutions that can prevent future stress.
