Maintaining our faith while building our success
Christianity has been practiced in various forms for about 2,000 years. Approximately 600 years after the resurrection of Christ, a man named Mohammed in what is now Medina, Saudi Arabia claimed that he was a prophet and that God spoke through him via Archangel Gabriel. This was the beginning of the peaceful portion of Islam when Mohammed, a member of the merchant class, tried to recruit people into his religion – Islam, which means submission. the fundamental difference between Islam and Christianity is that the foundation, the very core of Christianity, is based on forgiveness. Christ died on the Cross so that our sins may be forgiven. The foundation of Islam is retribution. The lessons from the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitudes are what gives us our strength. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God. What kind of Peacemaker can you be?
