What I Learned About Mental Health from Noah and the Ark

What I Learned About Mental Health from Noah and the Ark

Surprising Life Lessons from an Old Man and a Boat Full of Animals

Some stories are timeless and transcend the genre in which they were created. The story of Noah and the Ark is one such example, and while seemingly unrelated to the topic of mental health, the truth is what worked for Noah has worked for me in my journey from mental "hellness" to mental wellness. Beyond the boards and the nails that were used to frame the vessel, the Ark was made complete, and thus able to float thanks to the three things that were most important of all; acceptance, respect and kindness. These same three things will also support our journey towards mental wellness and help create a haven when we are in need, no matter where we are. As a result of this keynote, attendees will learn: The power of acceptance and the role of those who want it. The path to respect and how it is created and then expanded. The ways to harness the power of kindness to create connection.
