The Butterfly Effect

The Butterfly Effect

How Everyday Choice Create A Legacy

Keynote
Program
Every choice we make, every move we make, has a ripple effect on the world around us. In 1963, Dr. Edward Lorenz presented his thesis titled "The Butterfly Effect" to a crowd of unreceptive scientists. He postulated that a butterfly could flap its wings on one side of the earth causing a chain reaction of moving molecules of air that could continuing reacting, resulting in a potential hurricane on the other side of the earth. It wasn't until almost 30 years later that his theory was granted the status of a law known as the Law of Sensitive Dependence Upon Initial Conditions. It was proven that any moving object, people included, had a butterfly effect on the world for generations to come. As leaders, we often get caught up in thinking that only the earth-shattering decisions we make will have an impact. We sometimes discount how leadership and legacy are in the everyday choices that we make. In this program, you will hear the inspiring stories of 3 individuals that embraced their choices each and every day and, as a result, changed the course of history as we know it. Your team will leave inspired to live as their authentic self, guided by strong values, and motivated to change the world by created daily legacy choices.
