Leadership versus Management
Lead, follow, or get out of thew way!

You see them every day... Leaders. They stand tall, talk loudly and are noticed by everyone around them. But is that the only type of leadership? Can you follow and still be a leader? Can you tell who is a leader worth following and who is not? What is the difference between a LEADER and a MANAGER? Names such as General "Stormin' Norman" Schwarzkopf, General Colin Powell, Lee Iacocca are some names of past leaders. But they did not lead without help; leadership requires a team!. They needed help from other leaders, leaders who did not gain the spotlight but were still criticial to the success of their mission. But it is important to know that other leaders exist who are as important and worth knowing; people such as Mother Therese and Mohandas Gandhi. It is important to know that every leader is supported by a good manager. Someone who is often unknown, but vital to the leaders success. In this presentation we will discover what types of leadership there are, and how everyone can be a leader at any time. Building a team between Leader and Manager is the key to success. Extraordinary events call for extraordinary people, and there are extraordinary events every single day and in every single persons life. You will discover that everyone has leadership within, it just takes opportunity and motive... and of course, the leadership within you, to make a difference in your community, whatever and wherever that community is. To demonstrate this, the famous disaster that enveloped the HMS Titanic will be studied from a Leader and a Manager perspective. Perhaps the outcome would have been differant with a differant team? The audience will have the chance to make this the capstone of the presentation!
