Carol Andrews has penned Two Children's books and is featured in the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series with her story "The Tomato Thief" featuring her rescued pug: Dora. Carol has visited schools to spread the message of kindness over bullying, normally teaming up with a special guest to show children how to be both kind and strong. Her sessions are high energy and character building. They also afford participants the chance to use their imagination to create stories of their own. The books are early reader appropriate for grades k-3 with Character Building curriculum involved. For older students,Grades 4-post secondary, these performances are designed to enhance writing and storytelling skills. The seminars can either be completed as a writer in residence or a special speaker/writing coach for a day. Her work is based on her book: "From Author to Entrepreneur, What I Wish Someone Had Told Me". Again, Carol offers semester long, week long, full day and 1/2 day options and sets up a special lunch(es) meeting for budding writers that teachers/professors have identified. Each performance is 45 minutes and age appropriate. At the end of the semester, students will have a 1st draft manuscript. At the end of the week the students will have a short story. At the end of full day and 1/2 day performances students will have useful skills for becoming better friends because as Carol will show: Kindness Counts.
