Intergenerational Engagement for Schools, Parent Organizations, and School Districts
Boosting internal and external engagement by embracing all generations of employees, and parents

Intergenerational Engagement is a Required 21st Century Skill For the first time in history, there are five generations working in the school district. There are four generations of parents and caretakers, each requiring different communication and engagement strategies. Nearly all new teachers are Millennials. According to a recent Pew research study of 2,146 school superintendents, less than six percent feel their district is doing enough to meet their needs. Dillon Kalkhurst and The Center For Intergenerational Engagement offers a variety of professional development, and family engagement options to help build Intergenerational Engagement throughout the school district, its' schools, and families. EDUCATOR LUNCH & LEARN SESSIONS: 50-minute interactive session over lunch. Attendees will learn about each of the five generations including each generation’s sign posts, values, and motivations. The content is relevant for any level of district employee and addresses each generation as employees, KEYNOTE AND BREAKOUT SESSIONS 45-minute interactive keynote speech. Attendees will learn about each of the five generations including each generation’s sign posts, values, and motivations. The content will be customized as an employee, educator or parent focus for the specific audience. We also include additional information on how Millennials and GenZs are disrupting and changing education as we know it. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAININGS, WORKSHOPS & RETREATS A session specifically designed for administrators and aspiring school leaders. Sessions include detailed, engaging, and interactive discussions about each of the five generations in school and in the family. Additional sessions include the Intergenerational Engagement content as well as Personality Styles. Participants will leave the session self-aware of their own generation and personality styles. They will learn about other generations and personality styles in their building and how to become a Chameleon by adjusting their communications styles to effectively engage any generation or personality type. GEN Z PARENT WORKSHOPS All of today's k-12 students are part of our youngest generation, Gen Z or iGen. They have experienced more change in their short lives than their parents have seen in their entire lifetime. Most of this change has been driven by technology, specifically the Internet and smartphones. CONTACT USA: 407-869-7760 E-mail: dillon@dillon.com Website: www.5-gens.com
