Unconscious bias is a catch-all phrase for how we make decisions that are based on “rules of thumb” rather than all the facts. A key skill for those driving change is to recognize the frames shaping other people’s world views and priorities—and, equally important, to understand and evolve our own frames. This applies to sustainability, as well as hiring, budgeting, programming priorities, and other aspects of running a business. This session discusses unconscious bias in the context of sustainability, and provides solutions to addressing this at your organization. It includes videos and audience participation to begin the change during the actual session.
