. I failed trying to successful in sport, music and wanted to do something worth while with my life and be successful. In 2005 I was trekking the four day traditional Inca Trail and struggled; out of that struggle I decided with my friend we were going to climb Everest in 2008. We had never climbed above 5,000m. I am afraid of heights; we had no real high altitude experience. I was told I wasn't good enough by two professionals 2 months before I was to leave for Everest. We set out to climb four mountains on four continents in one year between June 2007 and June 2008 and raise $100,000 to build the Mt. Everest Primary school in Uganda. On the 23rd May 2008 I became the youngest Irishman to stand on top of the world and completed this challenge. I am now an ambassador for the charity and help raise awareness and funds to support the village and community in Uganda.
