Biography

Valerie is a Registered Financial Consultant with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. Her style of delivery transforms complicated technical material into an inspiring learning experience.

She is the author of Anatomy of a Paycheck, a book on financial literacy and career success for millennials.Valerie recognizes that before college seniors graduate, they go through the following checklist:

  1. Cap
  2. Gown
  3. Tickets
  4. Final payment with the Office of the Bursar, etc.

All of this prepares them for the big day, the ceremony.

Valerie prepares college seniors for what happens once they leave the campus walls, and enter the real world of “adulting," personal financial management.

In addition, she helps new hires avoid the “deer in the headlights look” due to information overload. (Overload regarding planning for their last day of work on their first day)

Valerie unscrambles financial jargon so that intelligent questions can be posed to company sponsored retirement plan representatives. Thus, wise decisions can be made about retirement plan options.

In her dynamic, motivating speeches, Valerie also encourages graduating seniors to celebrate this milestone in their lives, but not to rest on it.   She tells them… “You have arrived, but do not park, for you are only at the beginning of your journey.”
