Tonya Harris is an Environmental Toxin Expert and the founder of Slightly Greener, offering simple solutions for reducing toxins, one step at a time.
A childhood cancer survivor and mother of three (one with multiple learning disabilities and ADHD), Tonya’s mission is to help parents learn how household toxins can affect their children’s health, and how even a few small changes can create a big impact on their family's health. In addition to Board Certification and a Master's Degree in Holistic Nutrition, Tonya holds several environmental health certifications.
While Tonya helps parents with a down-to-earth approach that makes a less toxic lifestyle more realistic and doable, she also shares a special message with children. The author of “Henry the Flying Squirrel," Tonya is an advocate for children and is changing the conversation by de-stigmatizing learning disabilities and mental health challenges through her podcast and community, The Happy Child Project. She believes what makes you different can be your superpower, and shows children that it is possible to look beyond their label or diagnosis and realize their true strengths.
Tonya has appeared on multiple podcasts as well as online publications such as Parents and Reader's Digest, and on several morning shows, including Good Day Charlotte, Great Day Washington, Indy Style, and Colorado's Best.
