"I am the Senior VP for a multi-national firm based in Europe and currently dealing with the disaster that is Brexit. Caught the tail end of the author’s presentation on Leadership during Management of Change at a conference. Mr. Engbrecht calls it “Embracing the Suck” and his moniker is more apt than most. Outstanding presentation. As a follow on I bought his book. Two days after it arrived ordered another 120 copies; mandatory reading for every person holding a leadership role in the company. The two chapters on Leading Change should be taught at business schools. Somebody finally inked a book that everybody, from janitorial staff to the senior executives, can learn from."

Shawn's ability to relate to our Mid Level Managers and First Line Supervisors was extraordinary, the best I’ve ever seen. It was like they knew each other their whole lives and the results, in terms of improved efficiency, exceeded expectations.

I was a First Line Supervisor in a company that was suffering from some serious Leadership and turnover issues. They flew Mr. Engbrecht in and a day later we all gathered in a big warehouse where he gave a presentation that about blew the doors off. To make a long story short, 3 months later, after following his advice, we went from the company nobody wanted to touch to the one where everybody wanted to be. He’s without a doubt the most astute Leader and Team Builder I’ve ever met, and is generous with his knowledge as well. After he left, we stayed in touch and he mentored me into a promotion. Absolutely recommended!

It was the authenticity of his presentation on “Women in the Workplace” that did it. He really cared and you could see it a mile away. So I went to the breakout the next day and listened to him speak about Fear, and how it cripples logic and goal setting, especially if you are a woman. And that we, as in women, are just as capable as men when it comes to business. So I was a lucky one on the third day and got him for a one on one for 30 minutes. That was 18 months ago. I now own my own business and though it was scary to begin with, I wouldn’t change it for the world. It has changed my life for the better. But he was the catalyst, the one who said “If you jump, you’ll learn to fly.” Only now I no longer fly. I soar. I shall be forever grateful.

"Not everybody is a Corporate Giant. We were a group of smaller companies looking to be more efficient. Shawn listened well, delivered precisely what we needed, and was both engaging and informative. We've saved money, become more efficient, and are a bit happier for the process. He delivered."
