Rich is on a mission. His purpose and passion is focused on one single objective – to put an end to small business failure! Everything he does is centered around this purpose – to drive the failure rate of small business to ZERO.
It all started with his father's family-owner business. Rich watched his Dad struggle, trying to make his business work, and ultimately losing his family, his wife and his dreams of success. Since then, Rich has been a student of business and has learned many lessons while having a successful career in both large and small companies including running and growing a manufacturing business to well over $100M in annual revenues.
Rich published his first book, "Tour de Profit – a 52 Stage Race to Grow Your Business" in 2011. He outlines 52 powerful actions you can take to grow your business like never before. The topics covered in this book provide rich and impactful messages for audiences of all sizes.
In 2017, Rich released his 2nd book, "The Ultimate Business Tune Up – a Simple Yet Powerful Business Model That Will Transform the Lives of Small Business Owners". In this book, Rich shares the gut-wrenching story of his father and uses his lessons learned to help business owners today achieve their dreams. As a keynote address, Rich's story-telling approach captivates his audience and inspires them to get out of their comfort zone and make the changes necessary to be successful.
Rich hosts a weekly podcast, Rich Allen Speaks, where he shares weekly tips and techniques with his business owner audience. He has created an e-magazine available on the Apple Newstand and an App for small business owners which is available on the Apple App Store. As an on-the-move entrepreneur, Rich can relate and speak to the many challenges facing small business owners today.
Prior to becoming a small business advisor in 2007, Rich was an officer in the U.S. Army and held executive positions with both Texas Instruments, and Pella Corporation. Rich is active in the community having served on the board of directors for the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, is a proud Rotarian, and active board member of ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship Center in McKinney, TX.
Rich holds a B.S. in Accounting from Arizona State University and an MBA in International Business from the University of Texas at Dallas.
