Rachel draws on her experience working on Johnson & Johnson's iconic Tylenol® brand. During her tenure, the feisty brand team beat back multiple competitive and well-funded threats to maintain its leadership. Building on her Johnson & Johnson experience, Rachel became a principal at Marketing Corporation of America (MCA). Rachel served as the consulting lead for J&J's global OTC, pharmaceutical and consumer products, as well engagement manager on strategic engagements for American Express and Disney.
In 1998, Rachel joined forces with long-time partner, Mary Wallace Jaensch, to co-found The Jannick Group, LLC/SPARK Solutions for Growth. The firm continues to provide pragmatic, business-building and innovation expertise to Fortune 100 firms. Rachel's clients are among the world's best-managed companies and brands in the world, including Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Church & Dwight, Deloitte & Touche as well as GlaxoSmithKline. More than 90% of SPARK and Rachel's core clients buy multiple projects a year. Clients often "bring" SPARK with them as they migrate to other companies.
In another chapter of their successful partnership, Mary and created a partnership with Quaker BioVentures in 2008. The companies combined to create Semprae Laboratories, Inc., a venture-backed company created to focus on developing and marketing women's sexual health products. The company's flagship product is Zestra® Essential Arousal Oils™, the only topically-applied, patented blend of botanical oils and extracts clinically proven to improve arousal, desire and satisfaction for women of all ages and lifestages. Rachel served as the "ambassador" of the brand and the company. At the end of 2013, the company was sold to Innovus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, with a portfolio including treatments for sexual dysfunction.
As a leading entrepreneur, Rachel has spoken broadly on issues related to entrepreneurship, business building and women's leadership. Rachel has lectured at leading schools including Stanford University Graduate School of Business, The Fuqua School at Fuqua University, Duke University women's groups.
