It's the greatest truism in management... nobody does their best work in a climate of fear. It was said by Hall of Fame general manager Tex Schramm of the original Dallas Cowboys, and it's even truer today. To conquer turnover, end employee disengagement, and create a real team, you have to do just a few simple things right. Hire, train, supervise, and create an overarching goal for everybody to point toward. Each of your people should have the same job description... to push the ball across the other team's goal line as often as possible.
