Kristina Sampson is a breast cancer survivor and CPA-turned-holistic health coach, certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. After her 2007 diagnosis of a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer, she took control of her well-being. While also undergoing traditional treatments, she brought her already healthy lifestyle to a whole new level. As a result of working with excellent doctors and living a “clean” lifestyle, Kristina has been happily cancer-free ever since.
This experience taught Kristina that life is too short to postpone following your passion. She now enthusiastically shares her knowledge with others through speaking, as well as her website (www.thevaildiet.com), health coaching practice and book, Leave Cancer in the Dust: 50 Tips to Prevent Breast Cancer and Supercharge Your Health. Kristina's believes it is time to get FIERCE about our health and take back our power. It was this attitude that she believes helped her survive cancer.
The Vail Diet focuses on eating real, nutrient-dense, high-quality food; reducing exposure to toxins in both your diet and your environment; being physically active; and incorporating your own unique approach to spirituality into your life.
Kristina offers a wide range of different health and wellness related talks including, FIERCE Wellness: How Thrive in a World That Wants You Sick; Beyond the Pink Ribbon: Turning Awareness Into Action; The Four Peaks of Supercharged Health; Stealth Sugar; What's Up With Fat?; and Gut Check.
Kristina’s story appeared in the March 2014 issue of Prevention Magazine. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine at the University of Western States in Portland, OR.
