Masayo Halpin was a Special Agent with the Portland Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for twenty years. She was assigned to the Violent Crimes Squad for most of her career working Bank Robberies and Kidnappings. She served as the Crimes Against Children Coordinator and created the Sex Trafficking Task Force. Ms. Halpin investigated cases involving the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children and collaborated with the non-governmental organizations to focus on services for the victims of sex trafficking. While at the FBI, Ms. Halpin also served as a legal advisor and was a member of the Hostage Negotiation Team and Evidence Response Team. She acted as the Domestic Terrorism Supervisor and was also a certified Undercover Agent. She ended her career at the FBI as the Recruiter and working Community Outreach. Prior to joining the FBI, Ms. Halpin was an attorney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and specialized in Domestic Violence. She obtained her J.D. from Howard University School of Law in Washington, D.C.
