Dr. David Knapp, father of eight, grandfather of 28, has been a student of life experiences, most notably, that of loss. In addition to life's losses like the death of parents and loss of employment, he has had the unfortunate experience of losing two wives to cancer. His passion to help others understand the grieving process with the goal of helping those who experience loss began with the publication of his book I Didn't Know What To Say; Being A Better Friend to Those Who Experience Loss and has extended into a successful speaking ministry on grief.
Dr. Knapp is a certified grief mentor and is a sought after national speaker. He is a published writer in many periodicals. He has served as dean in two colleges and president of two as well. He currently is a regional public relations director for an international religious non-profit.
David grew up on a farm in southern Iowa. He recieved his BA at a college in Kansas City and Doctorate from a seminary in Tennessee.
David is married to Crystal who has enjoyed a lifelong career in Christian ministry. She is founder and editor for a support tool helping marginalized women in our society called Reach Up Magazine. This educational resource is published quarterly in English and Spanish and shipped to organizations that work specifically with women on the edge of society for distribution throughout North America.
