Dr. Frita is the founder and president of Midtown Atlanta Nephrology, PC. She is a vibrant, witty, and striking 6-foot-tall Atlanta physician, who is triple board certified in Nephrology, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. She is a philanthropist, business woman, and a dynamic, humorous speaker. Dr. Frita is also a soon-to-be published author. Her commitment, however, goes far deeper than the eyes can see.
Dr. Frita is the founder and president of Midtown Atlanta Nephrology, PC. She is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida. She earned an IB degree (International Baccalaureate Degree)from St. Petersburg Senior High School. Upon graduating from high school, she enrolled at Florida State University. She took full advantage of all the various activities that college life had to offer while earning a Bachelor Degree in Biology. She maintained an “A” average and was accepted into medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Talking has always been a passion of Dr. Frita. She even considered seeking a career as a radio broadcaster or a talk show host. In fact, her college education was largely paid through speaking contests that she had won on local, district, and national levels.
With Dr. Frita’s charisma, outgoing personality, and captivating smile, no one was surprised when she won the title: "Miss Meharry Medical College”. She served as an ambassador for the college with charm and delight. Dr. Frita accomplished a great deal while matriculating at Meharry but her most outstanding accomplishment was being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Honor Medical Society. (This is the highest honor attainable by a medical student.)
Dr. Frita completed her Internal Medicine-Pediatrics residency at Georgetown University Hospital and her Nephrology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. She is currently triple board certified – in Nephrology, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics. Dr. Frita is a Nephrologist and Hypertension Specialist in Midtown Atlanta. She is now seeking to transition her career into being more of a public speaker or a medical expert for large audiences. She feels that this would give her the opportunity to positively impact the world through her knowledge of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Nephrology.
