Biography

With extensive years of innovative leadership and management experience, Ed speaks with audiences across the globe on behaviors and actions that will raise employee visibility (how and when they are seen) and value (how to increase their impact) in your organization and industry.

Ed’s work is based on his twenty-five years in large, evolving corporations and his client base as a leadership coach. Throughout his work as a corporate leader, Ed has constantly worked in fast-paced environments that changed daily.

Ed has partnered with key leaders in biotechnology, business-to-business services, financial services, healthcare, and government services. His clients include companies like Avecia, Biogen, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Constant Contact, Covidien, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Johnson & Johnson, Keurig, Liberty Mutual, OrthoLite, Partners Healthcare, Takeda Pharmaceuticals, the United States Department of Transportation, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

Through his work as a leadership coach, Ed has heard endless stories on the challenges that today’s leaders face to ensure that they are seen and known by key stakeholders in their organization and to add the type of value that is important to them. He took all that experience and knowledge and authored the book Raise Your Visibility & Value: Uncover the Lost Art of Connecting on the Job, which focuses on seven visibility accelerators that help business professionals increase their visibility and provide the value key stakeholders are looking for.

Ed coaches international executives in the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School and he has worked with leaders from countries including Columbia, German, Ireland, and Switzerland.  In his former role as President of the New England Chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF), Ed was deeply involved in advancing the coaching profession and serving as a non-profit leader.

Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and received a Certificate in Applied Project Management from Boston University.  His 360° certifications include Benchmarks from the Center for Creative Leadership, the Leadership Versatility Index, EQi2.0 Emotional Intelligence assessment, Hogan Assessment series, the Team Emotional Intelligence survey, and Lominger Voices©.  Ed is a qualified administrator of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® instrument and the Raise Your Visibility Indicator.

Ed is a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation and a Board Certified Coach with the Center for Credentialing and Education. He is also a volunteer coach for the Coaching for Leadership and Teamwork Program (CLTP) at Babson College.
