When I was about 8 years old I pretended to be the sole star of a reality TV show. Be mindful....this was in the 70s, long before reality TV. I pretended that a movie camera followed me everywhere to share my interesting millionaire life with the world. The Bionic Woman was my secretary.
Fast forward about 35 years, and you see a woman in middle management in my 40s, a mother of three working full time and NOT the star of a reality TV show. I was not a millionaire and, honestly, I would have taken a job as the Bionic Woman's secretary if the show had not been retired.
Why is it we stop dreaming?
Or downgrade our dreams to make them more practical?
What causes us to set goals that we don't even want? What are we trying to prove?
I NEVER WANTED to be a movie star or even a high-ranking person in my company. I just wanted to know I was doing something important. In the process of trying to prove myself to the world I LOST WHO I AM. I found myself to be like a really expensive sports car that my company kept in second gear. That's a great way to ruin a fine engine and it's a waste of fine talent. That's why I hit the reset button on my corporate life and got certified as a coach. I have collected workplace survival strategies for 30 years and wield them as an arsenal of talent strategies to help people move from surviving to thriving...at work and in all of life.
I love sharing strategies about how to see people, not in a creepy Sixth Sense kind of way, but truly see their talents and how the two of us can be better than one of us alone. I love showing people the stupid things we think in our heads that aren't true and call out the monkeys in our heads that have been lying to us and throwing poop all over the living room of our minds. Most of all I love to call on the dreamers to dust off the old habit and start the see themselves as they truly will be when the world is right. Maybe if we all started dreaming again, we'd create the world we want to live in.

about my work history
In my 25 years of corporate life, I have worked at every level of the organization, from the executive suite to the call center. In the hotel industry, high tech public relations, market research and even very mission-driven global non-profits, I have witnessed the dollar drain that comes from a breakdown in mental agility, emotional intelligence and overall energy management. That's why I sought a coaching certification - to share the strategies that help people thrive in work and all of life.
My own mid-career re-engineering involved a Master of Arts program in holistic global leadership. After two years working in sales for The Center for Creative Leadership, a veritable candy store of leadership learning, I launched 360º Life Strategies to provide work/life strategies for professionals to move from surviving to thriving in the workplace.
I'm always updating this page on my web site with new topics -- https://360lifestrategies.com/speaking/ -- but I'd LOVE to design something specially for YOU.
