My name is David and I want to be real with you for a minute. I’ve always dreamed big, wanted to make something of my life, inspire people to make something of their own lives and deeply cared about people. However, ever since I was a kid I never really saw myself as more talented than anyone else. I always felt like I had to work harder than the next person. I was pretty much your average kid. Not tall but not short. Not overly talented at anything but not too bad either. I wasn’t the popular kid in school but I had some friends. Nothing really different happened in my life except for one thing...being hit by a drunk driver and dying at the age of 8. I didn’t know it then but that would actually turn out to be the best day of my life.
There were many moments I didn’t understand why I was born or why I was so lucky to have a second chance; I was bullied, picked last in sports, and experienced a lot of rejection and constant tension growing up. I didn’t know back then that our mind and emotions play tricks on us when we feel we have no purpose, community or contribution in life. And when I started seeking information and inspiration on how to create a better life for myself, that’s when everything started to turn around and I began to create a massive change in a positive direction. I put all of this “negative energy” from the setbacks in my life into my dream of being a professional athlete, and one day playing professional baseball. I went on to play professionally for 6 seasons, but a career ending injury shattered my identity. I didn’t know who I was without baseball.
Would anyone still want to hang out with me?
Would anyone respect me?
How will I make money?
Who am I?
What will I do for the rest of my life now?
Broken, broke, and clueless on how to make money or get a career, my obsession for learning about sales, marketing, business, human behavior, and adding value to people began. Since then it’s been a powerful journey for me – I started by following in my grandfather’s footsteps and getting into the real estate business. I quickly began to notice that my history of baseball, coaching and training people was a natural gift. I then started working as a salesperson for one of the biggest personal development companies in North America. In a short amount of time I became the #1 salesperson in the company and became the Director of Sales and in house coaching for North America. I then went on to be a top speaker, trainer and coach in the Real Estate Sales Industry. I traveled around the country speaking, training and coaching Real Estate agents and salespeople to higher levels of production and had a lot success doing it.
Along the way, I was fortunate enough to work and study under some of the most influential people in the world and became a firm believer that what is possible for us in our lives is endless and that what is stopping us is ultimately just an illusion. I learned that with the right skills, the right mindset and the right environment, anyone can unlock their full potential and bring their ambitions to reality. I got a taste of being a pro athlete for a short amount of time. And I realized early on that when I commit to my vision and pursue it with 100% focus…anything is possible.
It’s crazy to think that even though my grandfather was a successful business owner in real estate, that without having any business or sales experience myself, that I could go from sleeping on my brother’s couch to where I am today. Now I’m committed to impacting millions of lives. I teach people how to become more influential, increase their sales and improve the quality of their lives. I do this through my videos, online courses, live speaking engagements and events, coaching and one on one interactions.
I’m so grateful where life has taken me. I believe we are the creators of our lives, and I believe that I’m blessed for the adversity I’ve faced. It makes me see life in a different way and have compassion for the challenges and struggles that all of us go through. Always remember that you don’t have to let your dreams be limited by your current circumstances. But YOU have to put in the work to re-writing the story; no one is going to write it for you! It’s Your Responsibility to build yourself into the person who can live a great life. Only you have the ability and power to develop your mental toughness, skills, productivity and physical health to have the life you want. That’s between you and you, my friend!
I know there are times that are challenging, and it may seem like you can’t get out of it. And hopefully my story is evidence for you that you can get ANYWHERE from here. If an average boy with average talent can can do it, then so can you! Never forget that you can get anywhere from here, but you must gain the wisdom, skills and tools to write your own story. And if you need help or guidance on that journey, I’ve got your back!
Committed to your success,
