Dr. Candy Campbell is an international speaker, award-winning actor, author, film maker, and nurse-consultant. She works primarily with healthcare industry clients to build strong leadership and more cohesive teams through better communication.
Dr Campbell's background in nursing includes clinical, educational, and administrative posts. Her doctoral process improvement work at Stanford's Lucille Packard Children's Center, on healthcare organizational psychology and interprofessional communication includes seminars utilizing applied improvisational exercises as a tool for teambuilding, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.
Her PTSD-research includes work with Vietnam Veterans who were healthcare professionals, and later with families of premature babies. [The results became a film script, Walking Point, and the award-winning documentary film, Micropremature Babies: How Low Can You Go?]

As an award-winning actress, Candy has appeared on stage, screen, in commercials, voice-overs, TV, and the internet. She co-founded an improv and stand-up comedy group, The Barely Insane Players, then developed three solo shows, Whatever Happened to My Paradigm? and Full-Frontal Nursing: A Comedy With Dark Spots, and Channeling Florence Nightingale:Integrity, Insight, Innovation. The Nightingale character portrayal, presented as an interactive keynote, is based on the question: “What would Florence Nightingale say about the world today, and what advice would she give?"
Candy has appeared on many media networks speaking on leadership, communication, infant prematurity, and other healthcare topics. Her articles have appeared in online and peer-reviewed publications.
