I've had an extraordinary life with loads of ups and downs, probably like you. After experiencing years career successes, I couldn't shake the feeling that I wanted to have a more direct impact in people's lives. There came a time when the money, status and comfort of my professional life was no longer working for me. I now live in the world of stretching outside of my comfort zone on a daily basis. I love it over here and I'd love for more people to join me!
My journey to coaching really came from my desire to have deeper, more meaningful work in the world. My work with both individuals and organizations is centered around my belief that we waste time and energy hiding our weaknesses and vulnerabilities from each other. By creating a safe space for my clients to explore their own capabilities, assumptions and underlying beliefs, I find them unlocking massive potential.
I have spent most of my life wearing a mask to hide my own weaknesses, and also carried a pretty big chip on my shoulder to boot. This was my way of compensating for my insecurities. It took a lot of my energy and led to some substantial difficulties in my life. Once I embraced my vulnerabilities and worked through my challenges, I emerged as a much more powerful and humble version of my former self. Today, I have incredibly deep relationships with my family, more confidence in myself and more energy to do what I love.
Here are some of my professional stats. Prior to coaching, I was a chemical engineer in the oil industry and vice president of an engineering consulting firm. I traveled the world, had major corporations for clients and worked in male-dominated businesses. I have a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a M.B.A. In 2015, I completed the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) training program of the International Coach Academy and became a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF). In 2016, I received the ACC credential from the ICF for completing over 100 hours of paid coaching. I am also the President of the Oshkosh Board of Education and sit on several local Boards in my area.
On the personal side, I have been married to my kind, patient husband since 1998 and am mother to two terrific middle school aged kiddos. To round out our clan, we have a sassy, affectionate mutt and moderately overweight cat. We have chosen to live in the small community of Oshkosh, WI as it offers a world class quality of life and a beautiful inland lake.
