Over my lifetime leadership has changed. Workers are no longer as loyal to the company and, in turn, the company is no longer as loyas to its workers. This situation makes the importance of widening our career options all the more important today. For me, one of the best ways to open opportunities is to strength and grow your ability to lead others. Those who capture those skills and incorporate them into their work style, will move forward. Understand that most people don't want to lead. Therefore, if you have this mindset, you are already a step ahead of the competition. Fill that leadership void within your organization by horning skills and being proactive in using them. Folks above you will recognize this new surge of talent and offer you opportunities to fulfill your desire to lead. Become a leader and become all you are capable of being. Leadership is where the rubber meets the road. And only those prepared are allowed to traverse that road.
