The MINDSETS is a new program that focuses on the communication and behavior of different mindsets inside each of us, as we look introspectively to improve ourselves in a variety of ways. I work with program planners to customize presentations around the needs of the audience/organization; based in my areas or experience. Below I highlight the main theme for each MINDSET presentation/program/key note. Each mindset could stand alone for a program or if requested be combined to make for a customized presentation/workshop. Keynotes, training, seminars, and workshops can all be formed based in the MINDSETS==simply based on the time, needs of audience, and purpose. The Leadership Mindset: This program focuses on qualities and characteristics of leadership though the use of story, presentation, and interpersonal communication. There are many leadership speakers on the market. The difference with this program is its use of popular and scholastic literature to help bolster claims and ideas in order for participants and audience members to leave refreshed and energized. The Communication Mindset: As currently written and presented this mindset focuses on personal and professional communication practices for ultimate connectivity with our intended audiences. Do our words match our actions? What are our purposes in our daily communication activities? How are you communicating at work, school, and relationships? What kinds of disclosure do you employ to make your employees or colleagues want to work for and with you? These topics are all discussed as a keynote or an interactive workshop. In the past when presented, this MINDSET has included generational and Millennial discussions. Business Mindset: Depending on the requests of the planner, this MINDSET is typically customized to the needs of the organization. The latest iterations of the Business Mindset have focused on sales, sales trainers, and sales professionals. More specially, workshops have focused on PowerPoint improvement, interpersonal communication, the need for simplicity in business, and ways to improve question and answer periods; as well as impromptu speaking. Additionally, trainers, and sales trainers have used this mindset to discuss best practices and communicative practices. Generational Mindset: There is a lot of discussion about Millennials as it relates to work, school, and social behavior. This MINDSET is best customized for the purpose of the presentation and its participants. In some cases audiences need to understand the latest on generations in the workplace; in other cases, planners have requested keynote presentations the encompass all generations and allow for lively debate. The ultimate goal in this presentation is always understanding and peace between the generations. Chris Gurrie actively researches and writes about Millennials--so this MINDSET is presented in real-time with real facts beyond stereotypes. Traveler's Mindset: Similar to "Searching for Purpose" programming, this mindset uses travel as the catalyst for life improvement, concentration, connection, awareness and diversity, and other concepts. This program can be customized to meet with international students, international business professionals, high school graduates, college graduates, and many others in between. Through story, reason, and research the presentation will focus on how travel improves lifestyle. This could also be arranged to help people understand how to plan travel for themselves or an organization. F*#K Cancer Mindset: This is a new program that encourages audience members or participants to be their best selves in spite of tragic circumstances. Everyone knows someone affected by some form of cancer (or other conditions); using these relationships to strengthen lives and goals is a positive way to to have an outlook on such a crappy disease. The energy of a group of people in one room who want to stand up and say F*#K cancer is quite powerful. If we can harness that energy and move forward it could potentially help everyone involved.
