3 “A” Approach to Taking Responsibility for Stress

Pat Schultz’s stress management program, Stress Less, will discuss techniques to reduce or eliminate stressors. Pat will help participants explore their personal stress model, which includes “triggers” and “responses” that can be advantageously harnessed. Each participant will complete his/her individual “energy meter” to calculate the ratio of activities that increase one’s energy versus those that drain it. Stress Less also teaches the 3 “A” approach to taking responsibility for stress: Avoid, Alter, Accept. Participants will: - Examine their sources of stress - Take a short self-assessment to determine how much of their stress they create themselves - Practice several easy stress reduction techniques - Begin to develop a personal stress management plan
