How often do people feel like they’re in mental grid-lock or physical checkmate? Perhaps they suffer from analysis paralysis or are just plain frozen with the fear of failure. When one allows themself the luxury of becoming stagnant, they become more accepting of things as they are. Often they justify a lack of motivation by making an unfair comparison to others less fortunate than them. Rationalizing is detrimental to personal growth. In fact, to rationalize is to tell rational-lies! Complacency is similar to a disease that debilitates thoughts and activities. The good news is that just like a well-balanced diet & exercise can reduce health risks…there are behaviors that can increase the resistance to becoming complacent. This message is a prescription for action presented with Jersey sarcasm & Italian passion! It encourages participants to consider how many doses of initiative they’re willing to take daily- then to make a mental move and get out of their own way! More details of these concepts on accountability can be viewed in the "Conquering Complacency" chapter of newly released "Pushing To The Font", co-authored with Brian Tracy.
