Hear Me Roar is a keynote to empower people to take control of their safety. Jennifer's approach to self defense begins in the mind with awareness. She will also cover boundaries and communication to build confidence in attendees while dispelling taboos around sexual assault and violence. As a result of attending this program, people will learn: Awareness – Being fully present is something most of us struggle with these days. Talking, texting and headphones are just a few of the distractions that keep us from being completely aware of our surroundings at all times. Lesson #2: Mark Your Territory – Create personal and physical boundaries and make them non-negotiable. This can apply to people you choose to date, be friends with or associate with. Lesson #3: Communicate Powerfully – Many times our non-verbal cues are more powerful than our vocabulary. Walking with your head up, shoulders back and making direct eye contact are all non-verbal clues that you mean business. This keynote can be adapted to include more self defense techniques depending on timing and audience.
