Team Improv
Become Your Company's MVP

Be an Improv All-Star Being able to think and respond quickly is essential in business. When you sharpen your improvisation skills, you gain essential leadership, communication, and team-building skills: • Unleash your creative thinking • Become more resilient • Improve your problem-solving and decision-making skills • Foster collaboration • Listen more actively • Deliver more effective presentations • Improve your work-life balance Step up to the plate Join “Team Improv,” former MLB pitcher Jim Mecir and improv pro Ellen Schnur for “Improv for Teambuilding & Innovation”. Their workshop brings together the lessons of improv and lessons from Jim’s 10 years on the mound to unleash in you the core skills of success: Belief that you can implement new and innovative ideas. Adaptability to thrive in changing times. Tenacity to rebound more easily from setbacks. A fun workout at our workshops Our workshops guide you through a series of improv activities, along with Jim’s entertaining story-telling that reinforces the skills. The result is strengthening your ability to think on your feet, stronger working relationships, and a day filled with laughing and learning. Here’s the improv game plan: • Improve Communication—Learn to listen in a new way, build on the ideas of others, and identify and use body language clues. • Team Building—Remove the self-imposed barriers of status and judgment, so you can open up and become a stronger team member and leader. • Innovate!—Forget about thinking outside the box. Crush it! We’ll expand your comfort zone to seize new possibilities and potential. • Boost Sales—Use improv to improve your skills with clients and find the creative solutions that work for both of you. Learn from the pros Jim Mecir was born with a club foot. Several surgeries corrected the defect but left him with one leg shorter than the other, an atrophied right calf, and a fused ankle. As a result, he couldn’t push off the pitcher’s mound in the usual way, but he adapted. In fact, his unorthodox delivery gave him a powerful screwball. Although the scouts discouraged him, Jim pursued his dream. He played 10 seasons and 474 games in Major League Baseball. In 2003, he received the 2003 Tony Conigliaro Award, given to the MLB player who most effectively overcomes adversity to succeed in the sport. Jim, a graduate of Ellen’s program, knows how to adapt and hang tough when others would have given up. Now, you can learn from him. Ellen Schnur studied improvisation at the highly acclaimed Second City, Laugh Out Loud, and with many improv masters. She founded ImprovTalk to train others to discover their inner performer and become better presenters, leaders, team members, listeners, and all-around witty, engaging individuals. From co-founding a community children’s theater to organizing cultural and arts festivals and events, Ellen thrives on creative fun, performance, and igniting passion in others. In “Improv for Teambuilding & Innovation”, you team up with two pros who will guide you through an enjoyable, enlightening, and educational experience! Become your company’s MVP. It’s time to get in the game. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to power up your innovation, creativity, teamwork, resiliency, and leadership skills. Join Jim and Ellen for a hands-on workshop. For more information call 847-987-6158, or go to improvTalk.com.
