Balancing Life for a Healthier You
Caregivers seem to never put themselves first. But that doesn't mean there aren't simple ways to relax in high stress situations. • Maximizing a 10-15 minute break (What can happen within ten minutes that regenerates you) • Shared activity (Benefit me, benefit client) (Thinking of a gift that you have to be shared within your work day) • Peace in My Pocket (Participants create something to keep with them that symbolizes peace) • Just breathe (Simple breathing exercises that can be incorporated in a work day.) These are just a few examples of the direction these workshops can take. The idea is for caregivers to take the same active role they take in patient/family,employee care, in caring for themselves. I use a holistic approach that can be adapted to any facility/organization. The goal is to give participants ownership of stress control by using simple tools. Within 90-120 minutes we will: • Identify challenge • Identify workable solutions • Identify ways to implement workable change
