Everyone seems to think it's the "Millennial" generation who has its nose stuck in a cell phone...but is it just them? It seems everyone is a bit "distracted" when dealing with their interpersonal relationships. This keynote/workshop discusses technology and its barriers to interpersonal communication and immediacy. Particular focus is placed on the traditional-aged college student and teenager, yet if customized people of all ages can be discussed. This program is based on research on the Millennial generation and its use of technology, Facebook, and gadgets. Specific attention is paid to overcoming barriers to communication. This works for employees, relationships, freshmen, orientation week, HR, and other communication and leadership venues.
