When we view and approach organizations through a complexity lens, we create conditions for the soul at work to emerge in three dimensions: as individuals, as a team, and as an organizational culture. When the individual soul at work is engaged, people perform at their highest level and deliver their best work. When a team’s soul at work is engaged, they create conditions for collective intelligence to emerge and a high level of creativity and innovation. And when the corporate soul is engaged we have resilient, adaptable, robust, learning organizations because people have strong positive connections to each other and they feel they are part of something greater than themselves. Strategies for engaging the soul at work will be explored. Not only are these better places to work and retain and attract high level people, but they also good for the bottom line.
