Program Title:
Aging with Grace:
The Brain, The Body, and The Connection
Dealing with the body's many changes is not easy, but when we understand the importance of what happens within the brain, there is hope that these changes can be made more smoothly. Pain and pleasure centers are activated throughout our life time when different people cause us to have different reactions. When we are no longer stressed by the work-a-day world, we have more time to devote to developing relationships and pursuing interests that we may not have considered before. This keynote will discuss the role of the brain in the activation of the body's responses and how developmental issues that linger in the body can be addressed and released. The benefit of this information is based on current brain/mind/body/emotional research. The presentation is a combination of lecture with power point, interactive and reflective exercises.
