This event is our primary fundraising event in the southwest region of Minnesota. The sleep out will be located on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University and will feature local and national speakers, local bands, a breakfast and an evening rally. Our intent is to have our speakers present for approximately 45 minutes. We are looking for individuals to present/speak on issues related to homelessness to include individuals with experience as photojournalists, reporters, activists, or individuals who have experienced homelessness themselves. We are looking for presentations that are interactive and will engage the audience as a majority of those in attendance will be sleeping out to raise money for The Refuge shelter. The venue is being developed and we are looking for individuals with a passion for advocacy and a desire to speak to a group of people who are supporting a very necessary and worthy cause. ...
