Biography

Scott Uehlinger, a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy, entered naval service upon graduation,  serving at sea and later also sailing in the merchant marine for eight years.   Entering the Central Intelligence Agency in 1996, he served abroad as an Operations officer in US embassies located in the former Soviet Union for more than twelve years.   A Russian speaker, he has protracted experience working against the Russian HUMINT target, as well as successes against Iranian, Counterterrorism and Counterproliferation targets.  His most noteworthy and exciting tour was as a Station Chief 2008-2012.   Scott married in 2012 and returned to the USA with his new family.  He retired from the Agency in October 2014.

Scott made his TV debut on Fox 19 October 2015, discussing the film "Bridge of Spies" and current Russian espionage, and is an ongoing Fox contributor, contributing to National Security segments and also appearing on Fox Radio.  He has recently established a relationship with Newsmax TV, appearing 11 March where he discussed the Iranian Missile Program.   He expects future TV appearances there in the near future.

Scott will be teaching at NYU for the Fall 2016 Semester.  He continues his speaking tour at universities and veteran's groups in both NYC and Lehigh Valley.  In the 2015-2016 season to date he has spoken at NYU (3 times), Columbia (twice), Seton Hall, Villanova and 8 other venues on Russian Espionage, Current Events and National Security.   He is a frequent guest on the radio blog "Redacted" with Rachel Marsden, as well as USAWatchdog.  Scott has also branched out to giving motivational speeches to young people, and also worked occasionally as a substitute teacher in local public schools as part of his personal goal of youth outreach.

Scott most recently served as a Pennsylvania State Delegate to the Republican National Convention.    He was elected to this position by the citizens of PA's 15th Congressional District, recieving the most votes out of a field of some 10 candidates.

Engaging, energetic and focused, Scott is eager to share his leadership/teambuilding experiences, as well as his risk-management and cultural acumen, to a wide variety of groups.    His broad experience ensures he is comfortable addressing veteran's groups, young people, salesmen and all those interested in world events.   Motivational and enthusiastic in nature,  Scott's talks often focus on the light side of his former work - after all, who doesn't like to hear a good "spy story" now and then?  He looks forward to using his operational and managerial experience to enhance the productivity of your endeavor through his talks.
