Biography

Jerry Figgiani is an author and motivational speaker.  His presentation "Given a Second Chance" is one in which the participant leaves realizing that anyone can overcome the many challenges in today's world.  Jerry's work with Rob Aliano started in 2010 when doctors gave up all hope for Rob to be able to walk again and be an active member in society.  "Given a Second Chance" is presented by both Jerry and Rob.  You will be able to experience the challenges and struggles Rob faced when coming out of his coma.  Jerry, who is a professional martial artist, uses the martial arts as a vehicle to get his message across to people about the positive impact they can make on their own life by focusing more on the mental benefits of the martial arts.  Participants leave the presentation uplifted and empowered.  He is a sought-after seminar instructor who has traveled the world giving seminars in Europe, Asia and across North America.  An 8th degree black belt and National Karate champion, he uses the martial arts as a vehicle to get his message across to his audience.  In 2012, he was awared the National Police Athletic League Award for mentoring and teaching students across Suffolk County.  He has won numerous awards in the martial arts industry, helped create the R.E.A.C.H. Program (Respect Education and Always Climb Higher) and has been featured in many newspapers and magazines including the New York Times.
