Often described as the Pope of Mobile by colleagues, Gene has been guiding the mobile space for the last 12 years. Gene is Special Mobile Consultant to Four Seasons Hotels, Founder of the Collective Factory (a mobile consultancy) and Chief Strategy Officer for ResponsiveAds. Before this, he was the North American visionary and lead of the Isobar Mobile Group. His experience provided him with a powerful understanding of the intersection of media, technology, and creative. Particularly in how mobile can lead omni-channel story telling and eliminate media waste through mobile activation of traditional media. In his time there he launched hundreds of mobile initiatives and introduced the industry to a number of mobile firsts.
Gene has been recognized globally as one of the top ten thinkers in the mobile space (Mobi Thinking Magazine) and has been instrumental in crafting best practices during his time on the board of the Mobile Marketing Association. In addition he has testified before telecommunications firms and regulatory bodies about mobile advertising privacy issues. Gene has spoken globally at hundreds of conferences about mobile.

Before going digital Gene was personal chef to the Grateful Dead while on tour. A position he held for 8 years. He also owned a small farm in Santa Cruz California and still remains actively involved in community-supported agriculture.
