Drew & Associates: We Find Ways to Grant You Money

Dr. Drew is an innovative pioneer in the new field of lightning fast grant writing.  For example, he was an early leader in the effort to speed up grant writing by using voice recognition software. This one technique can improve a grant writer's effectiveness by 300%.  Since speaking is three times faster than typing, voice recognition software allows grant writers to speed up the process of creating new documents, responding to on-line applications, and inserting boilerplate information.

Dr. Drew brings a breathtaking energy, enthusiasm, and expertise to his public speaking.  He is a former political science and business school professor with a Ph.D. from Cornell University in government and public policy.  In 1989, he won the William Anderson Award from the American Political Science Association for the best doctoral dissertation in the nation in the field of federalism, state and local government.  He is a published author in the field of child protection and child welfare programs.

As a non-profit executive and consultant, Dr. Drew has used his lightning fast philosophy to raise over $6.5 million for charities including the Museum of Latin American Art, the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, Opera Pacific, the Los Angeles Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and Walking Shield American Indian Society.

As a public speaker, Dr. Drew provides his Lightning Fast Grant Writing Techniques courses at colleges and universities throughout California including

  • Antelope Valley College
  • College of the Canyons
  • Cuyamaca College
  • Chaffey College
  • Gavilan College
  • Glendale College
  • Irvine Valley College
  • Long Beach City College
  • Los Angeles Harbor College
  • Los Angeles Southwest College
  • Mira Costa College
  • Santa Ana College
  • Rio Hondo College
  • Riverside College
  • University of Riverside

Outside of California, Dr. Drew has been invited to teach his grant writing fundamentals and intermediate grant writing workshops in Pittsburg, PA on October 1 and 2, 2009.  He will be speaking at the 5th Annual International Civic Education Conference on December 8, 2009 in Nashville, TN.  He will be appearing at the Neighborhoods, USA Conference on May 28, 2010 in Little Rock, AR.

Internationally, he has been invited to provide his state-of-the-art grant writing workshop in China (2004), Phillippines (2005) and Egypt (2008).

In each of his workshops, Dr. Drew personalizes his workbook, class handouts, and presentation to speed up the grant writing process by highlighting the top 10 local foundation funders and the types of projects most likely to be funded in the local area.  His presentations touch on all the senses and use music, animation, PowerPoint presentations, humor, role play exercises, props, the Internet, and other tools to create a vivid, memorable and life-changing experience for workshop participants.  Dr. Drew also speeds up grant writing by providing participants with links to relevant samples of winning letters of inquiry and winning grant applications.  At the root of his presentation is the bold suggestions that grant writing must change to embrace the latest technology needed to speed up the grant writing process.  This way, charities will be able to move quickly when funding opportunities suddenly arise.

Dr. Drew teaches his Lightning Fast Grant Writing Techniques as a one to two hour interactive presentation.  He is the author of Dr. Drew's Lightning Fast Grant Writing Techniques: Best Practices for Winning More Money from Corporate, Foundation and Government Sources, The Nine Greatest Pathways for Profiting from Grants, and Dr. Drew's Lightning Fast Fundraising Techniques.  He is also the Executive Director of Pathway to Prosperity, a 501 ( c ) 3 charity, devoted to educating the public about the role of child labor law enforcement and compulsory schooling in the modernization process.
