Amanda started losing her hearing at the age of 4. She never let it stand in her way or slow her down. By the age of 22 she had lost 100% of her hearing in both ears but had taught herself the skills she needed to survive and finish her college education. Now she not only inspires others to overcome their own struggles she also has a successful acting career. Amanda continues to break down barriers and defy the odds. Despite being 100% Deaf she communicates in clear unaccented English. She is also bilingual and does speaking engagements in American Sign Language when requested.
