Biography

In 2001--at the age of 48, and just days before the 9/11 terrorist attacks--Tom Ingrassia chucked a successful, 25-year career in higher education administration (he was asistant dean at a university business school at the time) to pursue his lifelong dream of working in the entertainment industry. And he has never looked back!

Today--as President of The MotivAct Group--Tom is a successful motivational speaker, life coach, musicologist and artist manager (representing a roster of more than a dozen eclectic performers). His latest venture--Mental Massage(tm), created in partnership with award-winning massage therapist Jared Chrudimsky--is an innovative fusion of cerebral and physical massage designed to promote personal and professional growth, relieve stress, and enhance mind/body balance, in a single, transformational group workshop.

Along the way, Tom has had the opportunity to work with the likes of Mary Wilson of The Supremes (for whom he worked from 2001-04), Arlene Smith of The Chantels, Barbara Alston of The Crystals, Carl Gardner of The Coasters, and Nune Monteiro of The Toys--the very people he grew up listening to and idolizing in the 1960s. He is living, breathing proof that dreams DO come true!
