Teamwork:
Garrison Mills Elementary staff recently had the pleasure of hearing from Tom Hughes on our most recent staff development day. Our theme this year is, “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work” and Coach Hughes’ presentation was a perfect fit for our year long theme.
Coach Hughes did a wonderful job of engaging our faculty with hands on activities in team building while providing motivation for future team building ahead. Our faculty laughed and listened and afterward told me that this experience was “just what they needed to hear”. I want to thank Tom Hughes for a job well done and for providing a positive opportunity for our staff. I highly recommend his presentation to any school seeking to motivate and inspire their staff.
Please feel free to call me if you need further information.

Attitude:
Tom Hughes recently visited the campus of Illinois College. While at the college, Tom spoke at All-Campus Convocation, the Kemper Seminar on Management and Leadership, met with the officers of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a group of future teachers and coaches, and spoke to the athletes at Jacksonville High School. Tom brought a message that included the benefits of positive thinking. He demonstrated the "Tower of Power" and taught some skeptical members of the audience how to juggle. The students returned to class the following day talking about how much difference their attitude can make. I think they got it.
I would encourage college, high school, and junior high school administrators to bring Tom to campus. He has the experience, knowledge, and sense of humor to inspire your students and athletes.
