From minimum wage employee to Vice President of multi-billion dollar QVC, Nan Russell knows what it takes to survive and thrive in this what-have-you-done-for-me-today world.

In roles transforming the corporate culture to heading a new subsidiary, the launch of which was reported in both the Wall Street Journal and USA Today, Nan's career exemplifies her winning at working philosophy.

Her message? With or without climbing the corporate ladder, when you bring the best of who you are to work, you create your own luck, differentiate your performance and make a difference. Interesting work, personal growth and financial rewards follow.

Nan spent over twenty years in management, holding leadership positions in Human Resource Development, Communication, Marketing and Line Management. She holds a B.A. from Stanford University and a M.A. from the University of Michigan.

A few years ago Nan left a successful career on the east coast to pursue her life-dream to work and write from the mountains of northwestern Montana. Today she is a successful author, consultant, and national speaker (National Speaker Association Member), plus the radio host of Work Matters with Nan Russell.

Nan's career insights column, Winning at Working, regularly appears on over 80 websites; and her life-reflections column, In the Scheme of Things, is published in six states and Canada.  She is also a work expert and blogger for PsychologyToday.com, and Job-Hunt.org.

Nan's latest book is HITTING YOUR STRIDE: Your Work, Your Way (Capital Books,  2008) won a 2009 Axiom Business Book Award. In March 2007, Nan's first book, NIBBLE YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS: 56 Winning Tips for Taking Charge of Your Career debuted.
