Mark J. Mayberry, JD, BBA

President and CEO, ExamExperts USA

Mark J. Mayberry's life is truly an example of "Succeeding Against All Odds". After his parents divorced when he was 5 years old, his mother suffered a nervous breakdown and was unable to work, forcing Mark to lead a life of independence on the hardscrabble streets of Detroit. As a youth, his family faced extreme financial and personal hardship. Although his childhood experiences could have led him to destruction, Mark rose above his dire circumstances to achieve the highest level of education and become CEO of a nationwide educational service corporation, ExamExperts USA. Through it all, Mayberry's parents taught him that “True success is using your talents to help others succeed”.

Mayberry is a graduate of Cass Technical High School in Detroit and Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Paying his way through college, Mark graduated from Western with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Marketing). He then accepted corporate positions with AT&T and SBC, learning and mastering the principles of selling, marketing and customer service. There, he rose from local account executive to national account executive, and went on to negotiate millions of dollars in contracts with national clients such as BP Oil, 7-Eleven Corporation, and Kroger Corporation.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Mayberry was accepted into University of Detroit Mercy School of Law as an evening student. Mayberry worked as a law clerk during the day to pay his tuition. Fueled with an entrepreneurial spirit, Mayberry attained his Juris Doctorate Degree, then promptly transitioned into the world of sports law and management, becoming a licensed contract advisor (agent) where he represented athletes in the National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL).

While establishing his career in Sports Management, and working as a student mentor, Mayberry discovered his passion for helping young people achieve academic success. He then formed the educational services firm Exam Experts USA, and built the company from one student into a powerhouse corporation serving over 20,000 students nationwide, specializing in ACT and SAT exam preparation, personalized tutoring, and scholarship counseling. Since 1995, ExamExperts has helped students attain over 20 million dollars in scholarships due to higher grades and test scores.

He is married (Marcia), and has three wonderful children. He is a member of Kiplinger’s Who’s Who of Business Professionals, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the State of Michigan Army Advisory Board, Detroit Area Pre-College Engineering Program (DAPCEP), and a Trustee at Christian Tabernacle Church in Southfield, MI.
