Laurel entered financial services by accident in the late 80’s and quickly found that she has a flair for translating often complicated or dull, technical topics into “English”.
She has trained hundreds of thousands of financial professionals and small business owners on insurance and other financial products, financial planning and effective and non-offensive sales techniques. Laurel is a consultant to financial companies, their management and sales forces, call centers, as well as financial trade associations.
Ms. Stauffer-Daly conducts public workshops and teaches through Kaplan Financial, PACE University and various community colleges. Clients have included the New York Center for Financial Studies, St. John’s University and Baruch College, Financial Women’s Association, Financial Planners Association (New York City and Albany), New York Life, Met Life, AIG, US Life, Guardian, Penn Mutual, Unum, Prudential, Mass Mutual, JP Morgan Chase, Citi, SBLI, UBS, Morgan Stanley, Saloman Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch, Oppenheimer and Co, Segal Company, Healthfirst, Aegis, United Health Care, etc.
She has appeared on Fox5 News and been interviewed on local radio as an insurance and business expert. Her articles have appeared in various financial publications. Currently, she speaks and writes regularly on issues relating to our aging population and their specific money and health issues.
In her spare time, Laurel is working with her husband to restore their 1772 home. She also owned the local Curves gym franchise in her town, proactively coaching women to improve their health and fitness.
