Biography

Dr. Lance Hurley, ATM, (Able Toastmaster)  majored in History and minored in Speech and Drama at the University of Texas.  He did post graduate work on his MBA at Arizona State University.

He was a Charter Member of the National Speakers Association and is a two time winner of the state of Arizona Toastmasters International Speech contest.

 He served his country as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps.

 Dr. Hurley "wears two hat"s: Financial Planner and as an impersonater of  both Patrick Henry and George Washington. He speaks at  trade shows, political conventions, churches, state legislatures, public and Christian schools. (Many have had him portray both Founding Fathers)

He has been awarded the George Washington Honor Medal by Freedom's Foundation at Valley Forge.

 Speaking in the persona of either Father he lends authenticity and credibility as he relates "then" to now. He easily tailors his message to accomplish the goals of the hiring organization. He has been very successful in "wearing both hats"(fianncial planner and historian).

Example: Patrick Henry wrote the very first Living Trust in America.

Dr. Hurley had a very successful eight-year tenure as a Bank Executive. The youngest Bank Manager in Arizona, he took a five year old bank that had never made a profit and in less than 12 months, doubled the deposits, doubled the staff, and knocked out the front doors to expand the building. The deposits doubled again the following year as well!

Dr. Lance Hurley is a Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultlant and is a Certified Financial Planner. He has conducted over 900 public seminars on such topics as financial independence, goal setting, marketing, business development, and sales skills.

With hundreds of professional clients: Doctors, Dentists, Executives, and Business Owners, Lance is intimately involved with the financial pitfalls that are basically ignored in these professions.

Lance has conducted dozens of workshops for small to medium sized business's in the area of employee benefits, Section 125's ,et cetera.

 Lance thinks "way outside the box" and often finds tax deductions that the client's CPA has overlooked or has no knowledge.

Lance really enjoys talking to women's groups. They are often over looked in the financial planning process.

As a para-legal for a law firm, Lance is very knowledgeable about Living Trusts.

Lance has been the number one producer for several life insurance companies as well as a Broker/Dealer. He has addressed numerous life insurance company and financial planning conventions.

Lance is a consistent qualifier for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table

He is continually sought out by his peers for his advice. He is often called in as a consultant to work with other financial planners with regards to their clients.. He has had his own live radio talk show called "Money Wise" and for seven years wrote a weekly column on financial planning for the Sedona Red Rock News.
